FHA Appraisal Training
September 12th, 2013 1:08 PM
On 8/29/2013, I spent a half day at the Regional HUD office in Philadelphia, PA for an FHA update. This was one of the first live training sessions for appraisers in the northeast in years (at least since I became FHA certified in 2008), and was well worth the time spent. Yes, webinars are fine, but the interaction amongst your peers is priceless. The conference room was packed with about 200 attendees easily. Among the topics presented were HUD's Minimum Property Requirements for an FHA Appraisal, and FHA Appraisal Inspection Requirements. What I would suggest to the presenters though, is to try to hold off participant's questions until the end of the training, as we got bogged down with case by case issues. Looking forward to the next local training/ Continuing Ed, and will post updates on here.
